Gilbert, Charles H.
1922 - 2002
Charles H. Gilbert, 79, of Cleveland and formerly of New London, died Friday at Aristocrat
Nursing Home in Lakewood. Born in New London, he had been a resident of Cleveland and
Lakewood for the past several years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and
was employed in a foundry as a core maker. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (nee
Hales); a daughter, Anna Sponsler of Cleveland; a son, Charles; four grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later time. Malloy Memorial
Service, 1575 W. 117th St., Cleveland, handled arrangements.
