Denny, John Arnold
1873 - 1928
John Arnold DENNY, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Denny was born in Columbiana County, Ohio, August 13, 1873. At the age of 14, he came with his parents to Minnesota where he grew to manhood.
When 20 years of age, he suffered a paralytic stroke from which he never fully recovered. Three months ago he suffered another and has failed rapidly since.
He spent his life in Dodge County with the exception of a few years he lived in California.
For the past nine years he has made his home with his sister, Mrs. Bruce Rand where he passed away on Wednesday, July 11th at the age of 54 years, 10 months and 29 days. He leaves to mourn his passing 2 brothers, Charles E. of Glendale and W. F. Denny of Modesto, California, and one sister, Mrs. Bruce Rand of Mantorville.
His parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death.
The deceased spent many years hoping to recover from the malady that was sapping his strength but during the last years of his life, he gave up hopes and death came as a welcome relief.
