Denny, John
1848 - 1921
JOHN DENNY was born in Canton, Berne Switzerland, December 1, 1848. He emigrated to America with his parents at the age of nine, settling in New York and later moved to Columbiana County, Ohio where in November 4th 1872 he was married to Miss Margaret Egger. In 1887 they came to Minnesota and located in Milton Township where they lived until 1904 when they left the farm and spent several years in Kasson later going to California where Mrs. Denny died seven years ago. During the last two years most of his time was spent on the old farm where he died on November 24, 1921.
Five Children, Mrs. Fred Lehnherr, Ida, Albert, Emil, and William precede him in death, four children remaining to mourn his loss namely, Mrs. Bruce Rand, John Denny of Milton and F. W. and C. E. Denny of California.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the home. Internment at the Evergreen Cemetery at Mantorville.
