Mrs. Ethel Sneider Cunningham, age 89, of Sloop Care Center, Newland, NC, died Saturday,
February 24, 1996 at the Sloop Memorial Hospital in Crossnore, NC.
Mrs. Cunningham was a native of Toledo, OH, born April 27, 1906, a daughter of the late John Navaugh and Minnie Hales Sneider. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Valle Crucis, NC. She attended Barnard College, (Teachers College of Columbia University) in New York City.
Mrs. Cunningham was preceded in death by her husband, Carleton S. Cunningham, and by 2 sisters. Surviving are 2 sons, Rev. Carleton S. Cunningham of Montezuma, NC and John D. Cunningham of Seattle, WA, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Ethel Sneider Cunningham will be conducted Saturday, March 9, 1996 at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, officiated by Rev. Richard Uhlman. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
