Bogart, Clara Lavina (nee Weese)

COWEN - Mrs. Clara Bogart of Rt. 2, Cowen, died in the Nicholas County Health Center in
Richwood on Tuesday, March 10, at 1:15 p.m. following a long illness. She was 97 years of
age.
She was born in Wainville on August 28, 1883, the daughter of George and Rosie Johns Weese, both deceased. She lived her life in the county, was a housewife and a member of the Wainville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by: sons Carl Bogart, of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Bill Bogart of Denver, Colorado; brother Clyde Weese of Columbus, Ohio; sister Mrs. Bird Lee of Cowen: also grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bogart, who died on April 28, 1968.
Services were held on Friday, March 13, at the Adams Funeral Chapel in Cowen, with the Rev. Roger McCauley of Cowen, officiating. Burial was in the Weese Cemetery at Lost Run near Wainville.
