Bogart, Carl Eugene, Sr.
Dec. 22, 1920 - Aug. 3, 1987
Carl E. Bogart, Sr., 66, a technical writer for IBM Poughkeepsie until his retirement in
1986, died Monday at St. Francis Hospital in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
A resident of the area since 1962, he lived previously in Wheaton, Ill.
Mr. Bogart served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club.
He was born in Monte Vista, Colo. on Dec. 22, 1920 to Walter and Clare Weese Bogart.
His wife, Lorraine Huebner Bogart, survives. Other survivors include three sons, Carl E. Bogart, Jr. of Wappingers Falls, Dennis M. Bogart of Boston, Mass., and Michael G. Bogart of Poughkeepsie; two daughters, Deborah L. Webber of Carmel (Putnam County), and Patricia A. Ford of Bel Air, Md.; a brother, Bill Bogart of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; 5 grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Delehanty Funeral Home, 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the community mansoleum at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
