Williams

Mary L Williams was born in July 1871. She immigrated from England in 1877. We have not been able to determine the family with which she came over, the boat on which they came over, or the ports used. At some point, she did become a naturalized citizen, but we don't know when.

Mary married Richard H Stephens in about 1890. The couple had three daughters: Olive, Hazel, and Ivy.

During the 1900 Census, the family lived in Osceola (Hennepin County), Michigan, in a house that they were renting. By the 1930 Census, the girls had all moved on, and Mary and Richard were living in Leonidas (St Louis County), Minnesota, in another rented house.
