Information
for this website has been obtained from many sources thanks to all the
historians who cared enough to compile Stanton's history. Many
hours have been spent collecting letters, family histories and
transcripts by devoted genealogists and various societies. The credit
for the history on this site belongs to those who preserved it.
Among those are Mrs. Henryette Stuart, Maxine English, Nancy Necaise,
May Jean Carlton, Joe Crafton, Anne Dale, June Harris and Carolyn Furr.
Appreciation also goes to Mary Kay Dancy Smith and Jim Dancy for allowing
me to link to their Stanton websites. |

I will be constantly adding and expanding this
website as time permits. Links will be added for the early settlers
of Stanton, their families and their magnificent homes as well.
