STANNARD: originally from Long Stratton, Norfolk, who arrived in South Africa via Victoria, Australia when Robert James STANNARD and his wife, Mary PHILLIPS, both born in Australia, immigrated here in the early 1900's;
SAUNDERS: from the Salisbury area of Wiltshire, who arrived in South Africa from Wiltshire when Herbert Ethey SAUNDERS and his wife, Elizabeth INGS immigrated here in the early 1900's. They married in Cape Town shortly before the start of the Anglo-Boer War;
ROSE: from the Frome area of Somerset, who arrived in the country when Alfred William Henry ROSE immigrated to South Africa from England in search of a different life in 1925;
HERMANSON: latterly of Stockholm, Sweden, who arrived in South Africa when Walfrid Theodor HERMANSON (born Walfrid Theordor Johansson HERMANN) left his native Sweden for South Africa in 1896.
