Stanley and Brown Reunions
I can remember being told the family legend where a young boy of 10 or 11 years old hiked to Indiana where he had no relatives or family and my Stanley ancestors took him in. His name was Samuel Brown, and he soon became a part of the family. In fact he married three Stanley women.
Before WW II the Stanley and Browns had a reunion every year near Connersville, IN. Two of the press releases are below. I'm pretty sure they were intended for the society news of the Connersville paper.
I hope that one day we can get it together and repeat the old reunion.
