A Longcase Clock by John Stanyer of Nantwich

In October 2002, a carved oak longcase clock signed by John Stanyer of Nantwich was offered on eBay. A face is carved on the door, as is the date 1779. On the trunk are two dolphins holding anchors. The case is 87 inches tall. The widths are:-Trunk 14 inches, Hood 21 inches & Base 18 inches. The clock is 11 inches deep at the hood. The engraved 12 inch brass dial has a silvered chapter ring.
