Died as the ruslt of a fire in the family home. She was 19 years old
at the time. He father was totally blind and accidentally knocked over
a lamp in the house. She ran from the house with here clothes aflame
but died as a result of the burns. She was the oldest girl in the
family and as such cared for the younger children a great deal.

Barbara was the youngest child in her family. Later in life, she found
a great deal of comfort in working for her church. Many
of the members at Bethel Full Gospel Church remember her for the time,
and kindnesses which she gave freely. Her nieces and nephews remember her
amazing eye for detail. It shows in the beautiful hand colored
photgraphs taken at our graduations and weddings, and it shows in all of
the handmade gifts we received through the years.
