133. Stacey, Thomas, of London, 23 June, 1559, Mercer. Sole Executrix wife Katherine Goods etc. to be divided in two parts one for wife and the other equally between children (not named). Overseers: brethren, John Cosoworthe, Anthony Hickman, Richard Hill, George Nedam, mercers each to have a blacke gowne and a ring of the value of four marks. Wit: Stephen Hales, Henry Lok, — Northropp, Allyn Hill. Proved 26 Feb., 1559, [p.230] by John Castlin of the city of London, mercer, the relict renouncing. (P.C.C. 18 Mellershe.)

152. Strachey, John, of Walden, Essex, draper 9 April, 1589. To wife Emme all those my lands and tenements called Kelkes for ever towards paying my debts and bringing up my children (not named) and she to have all my other goods both real and personal, and to be sole Executrix. Wit: James Crofte, William [p.236] Malyn, and Agnes his wife, Areable Goodwyn, widow, William Strachie. Proved 16 July, 1589, by relict. (P.C.C. 63 Leicester.)
