Houston, William, Frederiskburg, Died December 21, 1770, Executors Bond Dated April 9, 1771. Witness George Mitchell, O. Towles, John Brock, Ex. Charles Yates and my sons Hugh and William Leg., My sister Sarah Stacy of the city of Phili., 250 pounds of Virginia currency. To my two natural sons Hugh Wright, alias Houston, and William Wright, alias Houston, which said Hugh and William were born of the body of my deceased wife Elizabeth before intermarriage with her, and out of lawful wedlock, all the rest of my estate, both real and personal.
October 20, 1775. William houston and Judith his wife, Fanny Houston of Fredksbg., widow and relict of Hugh Houston, deceased, to Oliver Towles, attorney at law, of the county aforesaid 550 lbs currency. Lots 255 and 265 in the town of Fredksberg, besides other valuable estate, made his last will and testament, by which he devised all his estates to his sons, William Houston, party hereto, and Hugh Houston, except a legacy of 250 lbs bequeathed to his sister, Sarah Stacy of Phili. And soon afterwards the said testor died, and the said William and Hugh, by virture of the devise, entered into possesion thereof, and before a division of the estate was made the said Hugh died intestate, whereby the said William Houston, for the advancement of the said Fanny and her child, Sallye agreed not to make more than a just share, giving to the said. Fannie, the ramainder of her deceased husbands moiety, after his just debts paid, etc. the said William having agreed to sell certain lots to the said Towles, the said Fanny joining in his conveyance thereby releasing any right she may have thereto, etc. Witnesses: Jno.
