While most genealogical researchers are already aware of the search sites such as Rootsweb, Ancestry, GenForum, Family Tree Maker, etc., I have tried to compile some out of the ordinary search sites, especially those that may be helpful for the German Surname researcher.

Note: There are times when the Internet traffic is too busy to access these sites.
