Ann Goss was born in Liberty Township and was the oldest child of
Sebastian Goss and Mary Ann Bury. She was about 16 years old
when she and her siblings were placed under the guardinanship of
John Freck. In 1859 Mary Ann married
Samuel Miller. They lived in Basil and had four children:
James, George, Anna and Adeline. Mary was widowed 1869 and
remained in Basil with some of her children. It is not known
where she spent her remaining years. This photo was
