Hannah Caroline Goss 1841 - 1928   Caroline Goss was born in Liberty Township and was the youngest daughter of Sebastian Goss and Mary Ann Bury.  In 1842 her father made out his will and probably died soon afterward.  Her mother appears to have died not long after that, for in 1846 Caroline and her siblings were placed under the guardianship of Mr. John Freck. In 1860 Caroline was living with her married sister Sarah Mauger and working as a domestic.  In 1865 she married Theophilus Stover, who was ten years her senior.  The couple lived in Basil and had 5 children: Theron, Grace, Jessie, John and Harvey.  Caroline was widowed in 1887. By 1902 Caroline and was living in Lancaster with her four surviving children who all had jobs there.  She eventually moved to 146 King Street where she remained with her unmarried daughter Jessie until her death in 1928.   Photos Obituary
