A1. Sorry, but you are looking in the wrong county. West Derby is in Liverpool, Lancashire. Check for other mailing lists at:    http://lists.rootsweb.com/

A2. This can be found on the Genuki Page for Derbyshire: (http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/DBY/ - RecordOffices) together with the telephone number. They currently do not have an e-mail facility, but have an on-line list of publications. Many of the parish records are here, though some are still held by the incumbent.

A3. Pre 1858 wills are usually held at the Lichfield JRO; the address and telephone number are on the Staffordshire Genuki page: http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/STS/ - Archives They currently do not have an e-mail facility, nor do they take credit card payments. The Bishops Transcripts are also held here.

A4. There are two sites to help, both of which are linked to the Genuki site:

A5. Don't forget that it depends when and where you are looking. Quite a few Derbyshire parishes are not covered by the IGI. The DRO (Derbyshire Record Office) will advise you if the parish you are searching is IGI or not.
