NSW, Australia 1831 on "Jane".He was a matting manufacturer and tailor
from Limerick, charged with rioting and sentenced to 7 years. He was listed
as Patrick the Pensioner, suggesting he may have been in the army at some
time. He was appointed to the Attorney General's Dept in Sydney. Ellen and
son John came to Sydney in 1850 after Patrick had gained his cert of freedom
in Oct 1838. John married and had 9 children but only 3 survived infancy.
