WALLS, JEAN CLAUDE nee McLEAN

Jean McLean was born on the 27 November 1907 at Hawera, the daughter of James and Edith Jane McLean nee Somervell.  In 1945 she married Clarence Herbert Walls in Hawera.

Jean was a prominent member of the Hawera Ladies Golf Club since the early 1930's and had been a committee member for many years.  She was club president for three years, and was made a life member shortly before her death.  She was also a keen bridge player with the Hawera Bridge Club where she was a committee member.  She was also a member of the Hawera Women’s Club.
