(LOWER) TE MATAI (ROAD) SCHOOL, TE PUKE
CLASS LIST
AS AT 12 DECEMBER 1918

Te Matai School was opened in September 1902 under the Auckland Education Board. It is not to be confused with Te Matai Native School which was operated by the Native Education Board and opened in 1887.

The building costing £140 was erected on a leased two acre site on the Lower Te Matai Road property of Henry J Gill. The teacher was shared with No 2 School and was Robert T Reid.

Unfortunately the school rolls do not exist. This is a class list from the Inspector's report for the 12 December 1918.
