BRUNNER MINE, BRUNNERTON, GREYMOUTH
THURSDAY 26 MARCH 1896

On the morning of Thursday 26 March, 1896, a major explosion occured at the Brunner Mine at Brunnerton, near Greymouth on the West Coast of the South Island, resulting in 65 deaths.
