April 7th 1889

Dear Unkle
Your card came to hand April __. I was very glad to hear from you all again. I had written twice and had not received eny answer. I didi not know what had become of you all. myself and children are well. my father had ben parylized for 3 months can't help himself at all. The rest are all well as far as I know. I dont know anything about Miss Jane whether she is living or not. times are very hard about here. work for wiman is very scarce. I expect to leave for tarboo tomorrow the 8th to get work in the mills. the wool factory they want ____ ____ hands. I should have gone yesterday but for the snow storm. I couldent get off. it snowed all day and nearly all night last night but it did not stay. It rained and has nearly washed it all away. I want you to write to me again. direct your letters to tarboro, N.C. and ____ ___ ____ any letter. I love to read from you all so much on account of my husband he was all the time talking about his unkle tom and william. I feel as tho I have been acquainted with you all my life and do wish so much that I could see you all face to face and talk with you but we never will unlless we meet in heaven which I hope we will. I want you to pray for me. give my love to uncle thomass and tell him to write to me. give my love to the hole family and tell them to write to me and pray for us all so and you must write soon and write me a long letter. I have no news of enterest. write. good by.
