Obituary lookup policy:

Does lookups for a moderate fee. Provide full name (accurate spelling) of name, place of death, place of last residence, and correct date of death. The required information can be obtained from the death certificate. Processing time is 3-4 weeks after search request has been received.

There is a prepaid charge of $10 per name requested. The $10 is a service fee for the time spent on the search itself. Some searches may involve going through as many as four different newspapers on microfilm. In the event that no obituary is found, the $10 will not be refunded. Checks should be made out to West Covina Library.
