Does obituary lookups at no charge. The best method of requesting obituaries is via US mail to avoid misspelling, confusion, etc. Requestor must provide specific dates and correct spelling of name. Requests should be submitted by mail and accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Genealogical Holdings and other Notes:

The library currently has a 16,000 name obituary database in progress for the Simi Valley Enterprise and Star, but the database needs a great deal of cleaning. Database has names, date of death and date/page of publication. The database isn’t completed past 1998.
