Joseph "Joe" M. and Margaret "Maggie" (Davis) Ashe

Seated in the chair above is believed to be Joseph M. Ashe (1875 - 1941). If so, then the woman standing with her hand resting on his shoulder is his wife Margaret "Maggie" Davis (b 17 Sep 1879 Cherokee CO, NC d 1968 buried Martin's Creek Cemetery, Cherokee CO, NC). She is the daughter of George Washington "Wash" and Mary Ann (McDonald) Davis. The identity of the younger man in this photo is unknown. Although the location of the old log house is unknown, it is believed to be their old home place at Martin's Creek, Cherokee CO, NC. Unfortunately, the old photo was damaged with several spots that could not be removed. If anyone can further identify or provide any information whatsoever about this photo or family, please email me.
