2. Daniel DUNN Sr. (Levi ) was born on 7 Jun 1761 in Albemarle Co., Va. He died on 25 Mar 1822 in Of, Greene County, Tennessee. Daniel was baptized on 10 May 1947. He was endowed on 13 Nov 1947.

Daniel Sr. served 55 days in Capt. Geo. McCullocks? Company during the Rev. War. He had land granted near the Watagua River in Greene Co. Tn. A 1789 Green Co. tax roll (Capt. Reece Gullock's) lists Daniel as owning 2473/4 acres and 75 "squirrel scalps" (whatever that is). In 1800 Daniel Sr.
is shown in the same place with 247 acres, 2 slaves, and 60 squirrel scalps.

Daniel Sr. died March 22, 1822 in Greene Co, TN. After Daniel's death (it seems) Rhoda and many of the children moved to Blount Co. TN into the Townsend, Tuckaleechee, and Cades Cove area. I have some info I'll send by US Mail in a couple of days after I get back.
For more background, Levi Wade's father was Levi Patterson Dunn, who was son of Levi Patterson Dunn (senior), who was son of Daniel Dunn. Dan Dunn was in Rev War (in connection with Dunmoore's War - Battle of Point Pleasant), came to east TN c. 1779, married in 1781.

Settled in that Part of Washington Co that became Greene County. Last homestead was on Cove Creek (about a mile upstream of one of the the boyhood homes of Davy Crockett), adjacent to the Solomon Lutheran Church.

( I have a little info on the Parmans). Daniel and after Daniel Jr. died Susannah and many of the children moved to Murray Co. GA. Susannah is buried in the Calvary Cemetary in Murray Co.
Her death is listed as 1896 in several sources I have seen, but her gravestone shows 1869.
