Fatally woulded by robbers in hold-up. Was paymaster for Jonathan Ring and
Sons who operate a woolen yarn mill, and was returning from the bank with
about $4,000 when halted a short distance from the firm's office by three
armed bandits. They found $500 in one pocket, but missed the rest of the
money, shooting him in the neck and abdomen when he showed resistance. In an
effort to save his life, 6 employees gave blood for transfusions.(Obituary).
