This endeavor began as a genealogical search of the Sliker/Zellers Families of Washington Township, Morris County, New Jersey over 30 years ago and the Sutton/Cox Families of Morris County, New Jersey over 25 years ago. It has GROWN immensely to include many of the early families that originally settled in the area then known as German Valley later named Long Valley.

My mother, Mary Ina Sutton Sliker, has been helping people in their searches in this area for all those years and they have been nice enough to share all of their information which has been included in this data base. Beginning as a paper trail that spans 300 years, I have attempted to make it available to as many people as possible rather than have it packed away in various file drawers in a filing system that no one understands, but Mother!
