He married Frances Jones in South Carolina.

• 179 viii. Annis Smith was born in Greene Co. Mississippi April 7 1826.

• 180 ix. Clayton Smith Jr. was born in Greene Co. Mississippi 1835. Clayton died in Greene Co. Mississippi. He married Arcade Walley in Greene Co. Mississippi.
