BIOGRAPHY: Written in a small New Testament Ollie James Foglesong gave to her daughter, Louise after her husband, Arthur died: `"To Ollie" from her teacher Louise Carr Jan. 9, 1917.'
OBITUARY - Ollie Fogelsong Avery, the daughter of George W and Nora Jane James, was born in Trigg County, Kentucky, on March 3, 1903, and died on September 6, 1994, at the Chariton Park Nursing Facility at the age of 91.
She lived her early years in Tennessee. She married Arthur Foglesong and moved to Missouri where they raised their family south of Keytesville. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1953. she later married james Avery who died March 30, 1962. She was also preceded in death by a son George A Foglesong, on March 9, 1993 and a grandson, James A Foglesong on March 1992.
She is survived by four daughters, Mae Faris and Louise Ramsey, both of Keytesville; Ruby Owens, Youngtown, Arizona and Florence Smith, Jerome, Idaho; one step-son Calvin Avery, Wichita, Kansas; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Saturday, September 10, 1994 at the Berry funeral home, Keytesville with the Rev. Dwaine Carter, officiating.
Organist for the services was Cheryl Jackson with Darlene Craig and Dora Palmer as vocalists. Pallbearers were C A (Buddy) Ramsey, Michael Ramsey, Jeff Craig, Paul Foglesong, Todd Peers and Jennifer Peers. Burial was in the Asbury Cemetery, south of Keytesville.
The family requests memorials to the Keytesville First Baptist Church.
