Rev. Patrick "Hampton" Smith

Patric H. Smith married Mary Edwards, July 25, 1834 - Grooms List # 36 - NC Dept. of Archives and History -  100 01 234, Samuel Edwards, Bondsman, E. D. Drake, Clk.  Witness, Bond # 000162842. 

Patric H. Smith lived in Warren County, North Carolina during the 1840 Census (Page 023 No township listed). In 1850 he was listed in the census in Franklin County as a Baptist Minister. 

P.H. Smith was listed as the Minister of the Gospel (M.G.) for a number of marriages that took place in Warren County in the 1850's.  They are listed here by date:  November 30, 1853 - March 20, 1856 - April 22, 1856 - December 13, 1856 -December 16, 1856 and April 15, 1857.

He died in 1857 in Franklin County.    His will was verbal but for some reason must have been written down because there is a record of the will at the Department of Archives and History in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Franklin, 1857 WB-0/377 AR-NUNC.
