Genealogy and Family History
I’ve tried to document each item in this genealogy. There will be errors as there are errors in
original source material as well as my own mistakes. I’ve had much help from other researchers and
I hope I have helped a few across some of their barriers. If anyone finds something here that they
object to, please let me know so I can fix or remove the offending material. I would hope never to
find any of this material in a collection being sold for profit. Since, much of the information for
certain individuals is contained in compendiums that were sold for profit it would not be a good
idea to copy this stuff without permission. For much of the information that can be found in for
profit publications, I have two and sometimes more other sources for the same information. The
original information was supplied by family members anyway. If anyone finds something here of value
to them, please let me know. My email address is on the bottom of the home page.

If you are ordering things from foreign countries such as local history and genealogy society publications, BMDs from government agencies and local parishes, you will need to pay in local currency.
Get a check in foreign currency for a service fee. If your bank is charging you $25 to cut a foreign currency check then use one of these services.

They have other offices, but this is one I know about. Call the
800 number and tell them what you want, they’ll give you the current rate of
exchange. They then set up an account for you (free service) and tell you
the amount you need to send them including a service charge. Once they
receive your money they send you the check. It’s very easy for the other
party to cash.
Reusch has raised their rates, but this company still charges $5. The number is toll–free.
