Herbert C. Fausey April 24, 1929 -- Sept. 8, 2003Herbert C. Fausey, 74, of Gibsonburg died Monday evening at Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Tinny, Ohio, to Naomi (Gerwin) and Eli Fausey. His mother survives in Fremont.
Herb married Mildred McDole on June 4, 1948, in Gilboa, Ohio.
Herb worked as a dough mixer at Tony's Bakery and later at Nickles Bakery, retiring in 1992.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Ohio State University sporting events and draft horses.
Surviving are sons Steven of Jeffersonville, Ind., William of Newark and James of Gibsonburg; daughter Barbara Moyer of Elyria; nine grandchildren; and sisters Lois Beal of Port Clinton, Carole Eversole of Fremont and Carlene Held of Lindsey. His father and wife preceded him in death.
Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home, Gibsonburg.
Graveside services: 11 a.m. Friday, West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.

July 7 1918 - July 30, 1998Mildred Fausey, 70, Gibsonburg, died Thursday at St. Vincent Medical Center.
She was born in Bradner, the daughter of Clayton and Ethel (Snowden) McDole. On June 4, 1948 she married Herbert Fausey in Gilboa.
Mrs. Fausey was a cost accountant for Moore Business Forms for more than 20 years, retiring in 1992. She was an avid gardener.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years; sons Steven of Jeffersonville, Ind., William of Newark, and James of Gibsonburg; daughter Barbara Moyer of Elyria; nine grandchildren; and brothers Clayton McDole of Bellevue, Wash., and Jim McDole of Melbourne, Fla.
She was preceded by her parents and brother William McDole.
Memorial Services: 5 p.m. Sunday at Nopper-Veh Funeral Home.

Aug. 20, 1944 - May 22, 2002Ronald C. GERWIN, 57, Fremont, died Wednesday, in the emergency room at Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Gibsonburg (Joyce Godfrey note: birth place is a mistake; birth place was in Fremont) to Carl Henry and Lucille Irene (BALSIZER) GERWIN. On May 4, 1968, he married Karen A. KARR at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Attica and she survives.
Mr. GERWIN was a 1962 graduate of Ross High School and was a mechanic of farm macinery with a home-based business called Gerwin Tractor Repair. He had also worked for Heinz USA as mechanic since 1987.
He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.
Other survivors include his children Monica I. WILLEY and Damien C., both of Fremont; one grandson; brother Edward Charles of Fremont; and sister Kathleen BURMEISTER of Gibsonburg (Joyce Godfrey note: again this is a mistake, Kathleen lives in Fremont).
His parents are deceased.
Visitation: Noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Nopper-Karlovetz Mortuary.
Services: 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

jan. 25, 1947 - April 9, 2003Karen A. Gerwin, 56, of Sandusky County Road 128, Fremont, died wednesday at home.
She was born in Bucyrus to Richard and Mona (McHugh) Karr and they survive. She graduated from Attica High School in 1965 and then graduated from Tiffin Hair Academy. On May 4, 1968, she married Ronald C. gerwin in Attica at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. He died May 22, 2002.
Mrs. Gerwin was an active volunteer for the senior centers at Fort Stephenson and bethesda Care Center. She also was involved in the Bide-A-Wee Farm Club and Serendipity Bible Study.
She worked as a beautician, having owned her own salon, "United Hairline," for several years until her illness in 1991.
Surviving are her children Monica (R.J.) Willey and Damian C. Gerwin, all of Fremont, grandson Zachary J. Willey of Fremont; and sister Yvonne Fowler of Kingman, Ariz.
Visitation: Begins at Noon Saturday, Nooper-Karlovetz Mortuary.
Services: 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
