Obit says:  Elwood S. Kerr was one of the oldest and first employees of Lake Placid Arena. He lived at 39 Forrest Street, Lake Placid. He handled the ticket sales at the arena and the accounting. He served as: chairman of the National Bobsled Assoc., and Olympic Bobsled committee, also served on the executive committee of the American Hockey Assoc., and was Pres. of the Lake Placid Athletic Club and the Adirondack Bobsled club.

Rev. Clair E. Carpenter officated the viewing and funeral.
Surviving besides his wife, Katherine Kerr, a son James H. of lake Placid, three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Moore of Dedham, Mass., Mrs. marjorie Sorknes of Norwood, Mass., Mrs Emily Burnett of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and nine grandchildren.

Notes for GEORGE LESLIE BURNETT, 2ND:
George and Emily had a farm in Willow Grove, Pa where they had horses and she raised Dalmations. My father, James, talked foundly of the farm and enjoyed all the animals they had.

   I recall one story of his about a large white dog that neighbors thought was a white bear on the lose.

   They also owned a home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The home was on the waterways and I recall as a kid watching the Jungle Queen party boat going by the home in the evenings.

Spent the majority of his life running gas stations and working on cars for different dealerships.
     He was enlisted during the Korean conflict, his time was spent in Albercerque(?), New Mexico. He was an attache, caring documents around the country in an attache attached to his arm.


   My father loved camping and took us camping all over New Jersey and eastern Pa before deciding to stay at one place for a few summers.  He also enjoyed playing golf every Sunday.
