Comments:
The first burial was the Henry Derksen the son of Aron and Maria Derksen, born September 6, 1909 and died September 23, 1909. The Aron Derksen’s donated to bury their son, Henry. But Mrs. Derksen’s parents, the Heinrich P. Neufelds wanted to donate some too. So they decided to each donate half an acre.
The cemetery is registered with the Rural Municipality. John Hoeppner was in charge of assigning plots for many years. When he moved to British Columbia, Peter Hoeppner took over. Then Aaron Ens did it and now George R. Neufeld has done it for many years.
The church community organizes yearly up keep of the cemetery grounds.
