The O'Hourihane, Hor(ri)gan
Han(d)rahan, and Horan DNA Projects
My gg-grandfather Patrick Hanrahan 1847-1919 was the 1st of our line to come to America from Ireland via Canada near the St. Lawrence. I was told he came with his twin brother Thomas and they settled in Pennsylvania and New York state. It has been said they were from County Meath.
Patrick Hanrahan and his wife Ellen Nugent were in the 1880 U.S. Census in Trout Run, PA, USA, along with the first of eight children, James S.
Twin brother Thomas eventually settled in Campbell, Steuben County, NY. In 1930 he was 86, widowed, and living with a daughter Mary Stenson.
