We think our Handrahans came from near Cork. Our great-grandmother, an O'Connell, from Templeglentine in Co. Limerick, married a Handrahan from Pennsylvania but whose father was born in Ireland. The family story was that she preferred to marry somebody with roots from the southern region of Ireland.
