To the side of Mary and Maggie's pillar was the headstone for Walter K. Smith and his second wife Emily Bellistone. Other children of Walter and Emily surround the mother and father. They are: Deon Smith, 10 Mar 1915 - 5 Mar 1916 Daughter of Walter and Emily; Joseph Leroy Smith Oct 26, 1911 - May 27, 1991 and Millie Wilcox Aug 4, 1911, Married Dec 13, 1943; James Walter Smith Nov 10, 1906 - Jan 4 1984 and Nona Stevens Mar 28, 1908, Married May 25, 1956; Paul L. Smith Dec 13, 1916 - June 16, 1985 and Kathryn S. June 6, 1915, Married December 11, 1939, Children - Claudia, Karen, Paula, Christie; Read William Smith Apr 1, 1919 - May 31, 1980 and Rhea Black Aug 25, 1926, Children: Claudia, Michael, Gary, Wayne, Tamara, Judy. June 4, 1855 - May 1, 1941 Editor's Comments About Entry: Here I found the Walter Kerr Smith family, including Walter's first wife Margaret "Maggie" L. Smith, and her mother Mary Smith Lamont (ID#206). Mary Smith Lamont and Margaret L. Smith share a tombstone that is a pillar shaped monument about four feet tall. The inscriptions on this monument are transcribed in the body of this reference. Walter Kerr Smith's parents were James Smith and Mary Chalmers (1871 Muiravonside census). From a conversation I had with Rhea Black Smith (who remarried Clinn Morgan) on Nov 4, 1994, the parents of James Smith were John Smith and Agnes Syme, and Mary Chalmers' parents were James Chalmers and Jane Ray.
