Editor's Comments About Entry:
Note that Ora's middle name "Christeen" was really spelled that way in the obituary, it was not a typographical error.
Note that Ora was buried in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery on 12 July 1957, so this obituary must have been published around the 9th to the 11th.

Obituary of LUNDI, Frank
Document Entry Number: 6

Transcription:
Frank Lundi Was Early Pioneer, Watched Cody -- Meeteetse Develop

Frank Lundi, who died here in Cody on August 5th was one of the true old timers of the Cody country and during his span of life watched the Big Horn basin develop from a hand-full of people to its present position as one of the garden spots of the west and the last stand of the Big game country.
As a boy of 14 he left home and made his way to Fort Bridger, Wyoming in 1878 and ten years later settled at Fenton, near Burlington, where he lived and prospered many years as a large stockman.
Frank Lundi was born in Canada in 1862 to William and Edith Lundi, his father a native of Scotland, his mother a Yankee lady from Maine, and died in Cody, Wyoming at the home of his step daughter, Mrs. Geo. Thayer. Interment was made at Riverside on Sunday the 8th of August. Death came from heart trouble, and until a short time before the end the pioneer mas was about visiting with his numerous friends.
At the age of 14 Mr. Lundi ran away from home and made his way to Fort Bridger. A year later he went to Fort Washakie, in 1886 he came overland from Idaho with Jack anf Bob Fenton and a large number of cattle and horses. In 1888 the party established their homes at what is now known as Fenton, where he ran a stock ranch for some years.
In 1903 he was married to Miss Anna Fenton, who departed this life November 4, 1936. No children were born to this union.
No direct relatives were living at the time of death, but a step-daughter, Mrs. Florence Thayer and children whom he cared for as his own, and sincerely mourn his passing. He also leaves a brother-in-law, Jack Fenton, of Colorado, and a host of friends up and down the Greybull River and in Cody country, who feel they have lost a good friend and a true pioneer.
Ever resourceful, honest and rugged, he exemplified the type of men who originally settled this country, taking the hard knocks of the early days and leaving the lands a safer and a better place to live.

Editor's Comments About Entry:

Biographiy of FENTON, Robert
Document Entry Number: 9

Transcription:
Robert Fenton, a prominent farmer and raiser of well-bred stock in Big Horn County near the town of Fenton, of which his mother was the first postmistress and which was named in his honor, is a native of England where he was born on July 28, 1861, the son of John and Amelia (Fenton) Fenton, also natives of that country and sciens of families which had lived there from time immemorial.
In 1870 his father died in his native land, and in 1875 the mother came with her family to the United States. Soon after her arrival in this country Mrs. Fenton married with Jacob Cunnington. Four years later they reached Wyoming and located at Lander where they remained for some years, after which they lived for some time in turn in Washington, Utah, Oregon and Idaho.
In 1887 Mr. Cunnington was killed by the fall of a horse which he was riding, and one year afterwards, in 1888, Mrs. Cunnington and children located where they now live on Grey Bull River. Here they have an estate of 320 acres and carry on a flourishing stock business, handling some 150 cattle and a large number of horses of high grade.
The family consists of Mrs. Cunnington and her three children, Robert, John W., and Annie A.
From their native land they brought the energy and persistency in application, the thrift and frugality in living and intolerance of opposition to their laudable aspirations characteristic of the English people and with these qualifications for success began the work of subduing the untamed wilderness to which they had some, here building up an estate of worldly competence and public esteem in their new home, moving forward in the effort with confidence and steady progress. Hard conditions yielded to their determined enterprise...."
