Inscription on the backside of the photo:
     Lawrence Southwick House built around 1658 on Main Street opposite Washington Street. It was taken down in 1862. Southwick was banished with his wife Cassandra for Quaker belief. Deacon Joseph Southwick pioneer leather manufacturer also resided here.
