1Obit-Honeycutt,Jenilee, 19 May 2001. "JINIELEE POWERS Eighty-four-year-old Jinielee Powers auffered a prolonged illness and passed away at a local hospital on May 19 1970. Mrs. Powers was born in Johnson County to the late Esaw and Margaret Webb Honeycutt. She had lived in Van Lear and attended the Freewill Baptist Church there. Her husband, David Powers, preceded her in death in 1966. Survivors include three sons from Auxier, Elzie, James, and George Powers; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Clifton of Van Lear; and Mrs. Maggie Hatfield, of Jackson, Ohio; four brothers, Jimmy, Hansford and Cecil Honeycutt from Van Lear; and Johnny Honeycutt of Meally; two sisters, Margaret Ward and Christine Fannin, both of Van Lear; 54 grandchildren and 168 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. The Rev. James Paul Music conducted services at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, on May 21, after which burial took place at the Relocation Cemetery at Auxier. PAINTSVILLE HERALD MAY 27 1970.".
