General notes: Silversmith Events in his life were: • Apprenticed from 1721 to 1728 to Simeon Soumain in New York City NY 6 • He worked from 1729 to 1737 as a silversmith in Antigua West Indies 15 • He worked from circa 1738 to 1752 as a silversmith in Philadelphia PA 6 • Advertised in the The Pennsylvania Gazette (Philadelphia PA), 10 Sep 1747, announcing that "Elias Buddinot, silversmith, is removed from the house next door to the Post-office, in Market-street."
• Tankard, c 1750 • He worked from 1753 to 1762 as a silversmith in Princeton NJ 6 • He worked from 1762 to 1770 as a silversmith in Elizabethtown NJ 15 Elias married Mary Catherine Williams in 1733 in Antigua West Indies. (Mary Catherine Williams was born on 23 Jan 1715 in Antigua West Indies and died on 1 Nov 1765 in Elizabethtown NJ.) |
