• He was a partner from 1835 to 1837 with Albert Titcomb in Bangor ME as A. & P. TITCOMB with shop at 6 Main Street. ³

• Advertised in the Penobscot Freeman (Bangor ME), 17 Mar 1835, announcing the formation of A & P TITCOMB. ³

• 1837: In the face of the year's financial crisis, he set aside his trade and took up ministry.
