General notes: Silversmith, jeweler, and clockmaker Events in his life were: • Apprenticed in 1811 to David Page in Onslow Nova Scotia 1 • He worked from 1820 to 1827 as a silversmith, watchmaker, and jeweler in New Glascow Canada 41 • Advertised in the P. E. I. Register, 6 Nov 1827, announcing the commencement of business as a watchmaker and working jeweler in the shop ajoining Mr. Fulton's in Queen Street, Charlottetown. 41 • He worked from 1827 to 1860 as a silversmith, watchmaker, and jeweler in Charlottetown Nova Scotia 41 John married Abigail Stearns on 13 Dec 1817 in Truro Nova Scotia. (Abigail Stearns was born on 12 Aug 1799 in Hillsboro NH and died on 24 May 1873 in Saxonville Middlesex NH.) |
