Silversmith

  Events in his life were:

• Apprenticed about 1764 to Ebenezer Chittenden in Madison CT ¹

• Advertised in the New Haven Gazette and Connecticut Magazine (New Haven CT), 20 Jul 1787, "cash given for all gold and silver by Beriah Chittenden, silversmith at the door next to this office." ³

• Lived subsequently in Durham, Milford, and Salisbury, CT; Kinderhook NY; and Middlebury OH. Notice of his death in 1827 appeared in several Connecticut newspapers. ³

Beriah married Huldah Newton on 15 Mar 1774. (Huldah Newton was born on 26 Oct 1751 in New Haven CT and died on 18 Apr 1794 in New Haven CT.)
