  Events in his life were:

• Vermont's first mintmaster working with William Cooley, Daniel Van Voorhis, and William Buell. At the Dorset Convention on July 24, 1776, Reuben Harmon and Amos Curtis represented the town of Rupert. Harmon afterwards became a noted personage, as he was granted authority to coin money for Vermont under her separate independence. The act giving the authority was passed in 1785 and under it Harmon, and a group of six or seven other men, did an extensive business for themselves and the state. ¹³

Reuben married Ruth Rising in Sep 1774 in Suffield CT. (Ruth Rising was born on 3 May 1758 in Suffield CT and died on 8 Apr 1836 in Warren OH.)
