• He was a partner from 1848 to 1854 with Eli Westcott Bailey, Jeremiah Robbins, and James Gallagher in Philadelphia PA as BAILEY & Co, the business continuing after his death at 136 Chestnut until 1859, when a new shop was opened at 819 Chestnut. ⁴
