• He was a partner from 1774 to 1775 with Henry Van Vechten in Albany NY as LANSING & VAN VECHTEN. ¹⁵

• He worked from 1775 to 1800 as a silversmith in Albany NY paid £11/0/16 by Albany City Council in 1782 for making a gold box given to George Washington. Spoons ordered in 1783 by Leonard Gansevoort. Also made sauceboat in 1798 inscribed C L, A. A. L, for daughter Catherine Lansing and grandson Abraham Lansing. ⁴

Jacob married Femmetje Lansing, daughter of Jacob Lansing and Marytje Egberts, on 28 Aug 1774 in Albany NY. (Femmetje Lansing was born in 1751 in Albany NY, christened on 7 Jul 1751 in Albany NY and died on 27 Mar 1807.)
