  Events in his life were:

• Apprenticed from about 1742 to 1749 to William Simpkins in Boston MA ¹

• He worked from 1750 to 1780 as a silversmith in Boston MA in the shop of his father, either as a journeyman or partner. ⁷

• He worked from 1780 to 1803 as a silversmith in Boston MA remaining in his father's old shop until 1789, when he is listed in the Boston Directory on Fish Street. He had moved to Ann Street by 1796. ⁷

• Obituary printed in the Columbian Centinel (Boston MA) on 18 Jan 1804 ³
